Tips For Men Struggling With Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is a problem that every man will experience at some point in time. It is nothing to worry about if it happens infrequently; however, it becomes a cause for concern when it happens almost every time a man engages or tries to engage in penetrative sex.

Premature ejaculation occurs when a man ejaculates sooner than he and his partner would like. In other words, premature ejaculation is what happens when a man ejaculates before both partners can reach a considerable level of sexual satisfaction.

Before you read about the tips that could help you combat premature ejaculation, you should know the causes of premature ejaculation. Knowing the cause of your premature ejaculation will help you know how best to combat it. Although the exact cause of premature ejaculation is not known, doctors think it can be caused by what we think, what we do, and what happened to us.

CAUSES OF PREMATURE EJACULATION

1. Biological causes- Infection of the prostate or urethra, diabetes, thyroid problem, abnormal hormone levels, multiple sclerosis, inherited traits.
2. Erectile dysfunction
3. Psychological causes – depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, sex with a new partner, worrying about premature ejaculation.
4. Relationship problems
5. Stress
6. Illicit drug use
7. Excessive alcohol consumption

Here are some tips for men struggling with premature ejaculation:

1. Discuss with your partner

If you are struggling with Premature ejaculation, it is advisable that you tell your partner about it at the beginning of your relationship or at the start of a sexual encounter. Make your partner understand what you are struggling with and that you are doing all you can to solve the problem. If you are lucky, your partner may be ready to help you find a lasting solution to your problem and they may not care (the way you think they would) about the time it takes you to ejaculate.

2. Use a condom

Sex without a condom is much more pleasurable than sex with a condom. Condoms reduce the sensitivity during sex so they can be helpful for a premature ejaculation problem.

3. Go for more rounds of sex

Many men experience increased sensitivity during the first round of sex, which usually reduces the time taken for them to ejaculate. However, they experience less sensitivity during subsequent rounds of sex, which helps them to have sex for a much longer time.

Therefore, a good treatment for premature ejaculation is for a man struggling with premature ejaculation to ejaculate once and then have sex again shortly after ejaculating.

4. Engage in more foreplay

Hurrying to penetrate your partner due to anxiety or excitement will make you ejaculate quickly. More foreplay helps a man who is sexually anxious or sexually excited to gain more control over his sexual stimulation.

5. The squeeze technique

This technique is practiced by pulling out and squeezing the tip of the penis when a man feels like he is close to the point of return. When he feels the sensation to ejaculate has dulled, he would then re-insert his penis and continue having sex.

Listed above are all quick tips for men struggling with Premature ejaculation. If you’ve tried these or different methods with no success, then seek professional help.
